If there is someone that you think deserves to be commended for their outstanding contributions in the community, or for their inspirational impact as a role model to others in their community then please nominate!
We have nominations open for the folllowing categories, check the list to see if anyone you know is worthy of such an award:
The Bob Jones Memorial Award- An individual or group who has shown outstanding commitment to reducing knife and/or gun crime within local communities in the West Midlands.
Community Champion- An individual who has shown extra ordinary commitment in championing a local good cause and being a positive role model in changing attitudes and minds.
Community Group Inspiration Award-A Group that is working hard to create greater Community Spirit and cohesion in an ever changing environment.
Award for Police Officer or PCSO within the West Midlands Police Force- An individual that has gone above and beyond the call of duty and successfully addressed knife and/gun crime in their area.
Outstanding Individual on the Frontline- An individual who has shown great effort and courage within the Emergency services to Rescue, Protect or save the life of another. (Emergency Services except Police)
Community Peace Walk Award- An individual that has unified local communities by organising peace walks in an effort to reduce knife and gun crime
Legend Award- An elder who has given long and outstanding service to their community in one or more of the following areas: promoting safety awareness, building bridges between different communities, promoting equality and fairness in education or in the workplace
The Parent Award- A parent or couple that has lost a child to knife or gun crime and has campaigned tirelessly against violence by raising community awareness and bringing about change
